Spring Term 2018

Welcome Miss Vicky

We would like to welcome Miss Vicky officially to the school. She assisted Miss Natasha last term and this year is taking over classes whilst Miss Natasha is off on maternity leave.

Miss Natasha's Maternity Leave

Miss Natasha is now on maternity leave and will be returning to teach private lessons in the summer term. She will still be in attendance to greet parents as much as possible but leaves the teaching this term to the very capable Miss Vicky.

British Arts Awards

The British Arts Awards is a competition that takes place annually. The first round is a local heat with the semi-finals regional, for us held in Andover, and the finals in London. This competition is a great opportunity for pupils to experience performing as a solo, duet, trio and / or group against other dance schools regionally and nationally.

This is a competition that Miss Natasha started dancing in at the age of 10 and she is a previous national champion of the competition. She has fond memories of her time competing in the British Arts and sees it as a welcoming and friendly way to have some fun whilst also competing in dance.

We are keen to give our pupils the same opportunity and so are asking that any pupils interested in taking part let Miss Natasha know ASAP.

You will need to have private lessons, in addition to your normal classes, in order to compete. But these can be shared with another pupil. Miss Natasha will be scheduling these classes, most likely on Wednesdays, from next term in preparation for January 2019 regional heats.

Show In A Week (Summer School) - 6th - 10th August 2018

This summer we are looking to run our first summer school, which will be a 'show in a week'!

This will be a week of musical theatre that will include dance, acting and singing as well as the chance to help build items for the set. The idea is that in a week we do everything required to perform a show - culminating with a performance on the Friday afternoon.

Timetable: The school will run from Monday to Friday and will start at 10am and finish at 3pm each day. The week will finish with a show at 3pm on Friday 10th August at Hambledon Village Hall. The show will be approximately an hour long.

Who Can Attend: This is not just open to current pupils of the school but also to friends as well. We are keen to welcome new faces to the school. Minimum age is 5 years old for insurance purposes I'm afraid.

Costs: The cost to attend for the whole week is £100. This includes a t-shirt for each pupil and free attendance to the show at the end of the week. As we did for the 'The Enchanted Woods', we will also be producing a special show programme that will be on sale on the Friday for £2.50. This is such a wonderful way to remember the experience!

Siblings will receive a 15% discount on the fee.

Signing Up: If you would like your child to attend 'Show In A Week' please fill in the form below to register your interest. We will need to know if we have enough interest to run this by the end of term so please sign up as soon as possible.
